In August, AFS celebrated another year at its annual Surrogate Retreat. The celebration took place this year at the Oregon Coast, bringing in surrogates from around the country to meet face-to-face for the first time.
More than 25 former and current AFS surrogates and staff members came together for a weekend of fun in the sands of Lincoln City. While looking out at ocean views from the balconies of their weekend home-away-from-home, past surrogates shared their wisdom with those just starting on their journeys. The sleepover party included a variety of craft activities, plenty of beach time, late-night s’mores, and tons of laughter!
Being able to bring together this community each year is one way AFS gives back to these amazing women! We’re so delighted to work with our amazing surrogates and look forward to next year’s retreat!
